CREATING A BOOK ABOUT THE BERTELSMANN GROUP

We talked to teams and individuals within the Bertelsmann Group and asked them “What’s your story?”
From this, we created eleven fascinating stories: from an author who has signed 150,000 books, to a remarkable interview with Pelé, to shrimp fishermen in Alaska.

Creativity starts in the mind. Artists channel that creativity and shape it on the pages of their notebooks.

I took the aesthetic of an artist’s sketchbook and combined it with a more traditional book layout. The sketch-like illustrations and photographs, classically-staged with added coloured brushstrokes, combines loose, preliminary sketches with more refined design elements for a complete and imaginative final product.
